Dear OBC Youths and Students, aware of Injustice perpetrated against You!
In India, though the population of OBCs are high, when compared to other communities, they are the most neglected lot. Even though the Constitution of India mandated the ruling governments to give them priority in Education, Government Jobs etc., those mandates are deliberately violated. If we analyse the reasons for this injustice, the following major and solid reasons have come to the lights.
- Most of the OBC – Communities do not know their Constitutional Rights and the concept of Reservation,
- There is no unity among OBCs – and no strong leaders to raise voices for the injustice perpetrated on OBCs,
- The dominance of higher Caste people in the senior level of Bureaucracy the ministers heed to their suggestions and advice,
- Many a times, the Higher Judiciary also failed to render justice to OBCs,
I. What is the result of the aforesaid reasons?
- The OBC Community people don’t get their due eligible concessions – priorities in admissions,
- OBC Community student’s entry to elite institutions like IIT, IIM, NIT, etc. has become scarce,
- Scholarships to OBC – students are few and the amounts are namesake,
- The Reservations given to OBCs, especially in Union Government Jobs are not at all implemented. More than 9 lakhs jobs which ought to have been given to OBCs were not given.
- The authorities have deprived OBC youths not only of their quota but also of their backlog rights.
II. There are too many restrictions for OBC Youths to avail their due rights in Union Government
- To get OBC – certificate, there is an income restriction in the name of “Creamy layers”,
- The validity of the OBC Certificate is only one year.
