Society For the Rights of Backward Communities(SFRBC)
“Society for the Rights of Backward Communities” – is a statutory organization fighting for the causes of Other Backward Communities numbering 256. Since we fight for the causes of OBC Rights – for an effective and easy remembrance of our people, we project the name / term / our prime / core activity “OBC Rights” rather than the name of the organization. In the nutshell,“OBC Rights”– is the prime / core vision / activity of the organization “Society for the Rights of Backward Communities”. So, the ID for the website of SFRBC and related social media platforms start with OBC Rights – with the Logo and tagline as “Choose the Right”.
Reservation is a right and not a charity. Unless all sections of people in a Country are ensured with uniform/homogeneous Social, Educational, and Economic Development, the country cannot achieve an all-round development. On this principle “Reservation Policy” is followed in almost all countries across the world. But in India, such a vital subject/aspect – guaranteed by the Constitutional provisions is mishandled and misused by self–centered politicians to create Vote Banks / to get votes in Elections.
Society for the Rights of Backward Communities [SFRBC] – is a well-structured, statutory recognized organization. There are 137 communities in the State Backward Community List and 180 Communities in the list of OBCs published by the Government of India. For the Backward Communities referred above the reservation in Tamilnadu is 26.5% and for the OBC the Government of India has set in 27% – reservation in Government Jobs and Educational Institutions. But the said percentage has not come into reality.
Since the common people particularly the youth do not have adequate knowledge over this important tool for their upliftment / development, the Backward Community people have been deprived of their legitimate rights. To make the Backward Community youth to know / understand their rights and to get their rights in reservation, we are making an attempt by providing basic informations. We will make the portal vibrant if all the visitors contribute positive informations and suggestions.
