State Bank of India (SBI) is one of the largest and pioneer public sector banks in India. It was established in 1806 as the Bank of Calcutta, making it one of the oldest commercial banks in the Indian subcontinent. It later merged with the Bank of Bombay and the Bank of Madras in 1921 to form the Imperial Bank of India. The State Bank of India (SBI) was established through the nationalization of the Imperial Bank of India in 1955.

Organization of SBI:

SBI is led by a Chairman and overseen by a Board of Directors. It has a Central Office in Mumbai and
various business units, regional offices, a vast branch network of subsidiaries, and international operations.

  • Probationary Officer,
  • Clerk,
  • Circle Based Officer,
  • Apprentice.

Apprentice21-30 yearsApplicants need a recognized university degree in any discipline or an equivalent qualification approved by the Central Government. Final-year students can apply but must provide proof of graduation during the interview.

The selection process of :

The SBI PO Selection Process consists of the following stages, conducted as follows:

  • STEP1-Preliminary examination,
  • STEP2-Mains examination,
  • STEP3-Psychometric Test,
  • STEP4-Group Exercise,
  • STEP5-Personal Interview.

So, Candidates must complete each stage to progress to the next in this order.
