The full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs are the flagship programs across all Indian Institute of Management – IIM. The institution offers the full-time MBA degree as a two-year postgraduate program in Management. Some IIMs offer the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), a doctoral program. The fellowship is considered to be equivalent to a DBA globally. Most IIMs also offer short-term Executive MBA courses and part-time programs. Some IIMs like unique programs, like IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Rohtak, IIM Ranchi, and IIM Indore offer a unique Five Year Integrated Programme in Management and the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow’s Working Managers’ Programme duration is two years.IIM Rohtak is the only IIM that offers a Five Year Integrated Program in Law (BBA+LLB).
The average salary for an MBA candidate passing out of an Indian Institute of Management is in the range of Rs. 20 to 35 Lakhs Per Annum (2024).

Eligibility Criteria for the Indian Institute of Management:
- If any IIM shortlists a candidate for an interview, the candidate must comply with the following eligibility verification.
- Mark Sheets and Degree Certificate.
- A candidate must show all the mark sheets and submit attested copies to prove his/her eligibility during the interview. Furthermore, upon selection for a program, the candidate must submit the original degree certificate
mark sheets of all semesters/years, along with their attested copies, for verification at the time of joining the program.
Reservation Category Requirements
If shortlisted for an interview, SC, ST, NC-OBC, EWS, and PwD candidates must show the original caste/class and/or disability certificate and submit a photocopy at the time of the interview along with the submission requirements
as specified in the “Marksheets and Degree Certificate” section.
Candidates in the Final Year of Graduation
- If shortlisted for an interview, candidates must present an original certificate from the Principal/Registrar/Director of the University/Institution confirming 50% marks or equivalent (45% for SC, ST, and PwD category) in their final bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- During the interview, candidates must submit an attested copy of the original certificate.
- For Post Graduate Programmes at IIMs, provisionally selected candidates can join the program if they submit a certificate from the Principal/Registrar of their University/Institution, issued on or before the stipulated
date by the respective IIM, stating completion of all requirements for the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification (results pending). - Admission for these candidates becomes confirmed only upon submission of the original mark sheet and qualifying degree certificate by December 31, 2024.
- A minimum of 50% marks or equivalent (45% for SC, ST, and PwD categories) is required for candidates.
- Candidates must also submit an attested copy of the mark sheets and qualifying degree certificate.
- Failure to fulfill these conditions by December 31, 2024, will result in automatic cancellation of provisional admission.
- The institution retains the right to cancel provisional admission if it later discovers that the submitted certificate is incorrect.
