The COMEDK UGET exam is a nationwide common entrance test used for admission to approximately 190 private engineering colleges without aid in Karnataka. COMEDK full form is the Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka that conducts UGET.
Eligibility Criteria for COMEDK UGET Entrance Examination
Qualifying Examinations:
B.E./B. Tech admission requires a second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Minimum Aggregate Marks:
General Merit candidates need a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC, ST, and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Compulsory Subjects:
Physics and Mathematics are mandatory, with an optional subject choice from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics.
Eligibility Changes:
Any changes in eligibility criteria by AICTE/VTU will be followed.
COMEDK Entrance Test:
Successfully attempting the COMEDK UGET Entrance Test is sufficient for inclusion in the rank list.
Diploma Candidates:
Diploma candidates are ineligible for the Entrance Test, as there are no lateral entry admissions.
Documents need for Applying to the COMEDK UGET Entrance Examination :
1. Class 10 Marks Sheet: Proof of date of birth.
2. Class 12 Marks Sheet: Scanned copy or equivalent.
3. Photograph: Recent passport-sized photo in JPEG.
4. Signature: Scanned signature in JPEG.
5. ID Proof: Government-issued photo ID.
6. Category Certificate (if applicable): For SC/ST/OBC candidates.
7. Domicile Certificate: Proof of claiming Karnataka quota.
8. Payment Receipt: Copy of application fee payment.
Procedure for applying
- Visit COMEDK’s official website – comedk.org 2024.
- Complete the candidate details in the registration form for COMEDK UGET 2024.
- Generate and validate OTP for the registered mobile number.
- Click on register and complete candidate registration.
- Receive SMS & E-mail with User ID/App no and Password.
- Log out and log in again using User ID & Password.
- Click on ‘Go to application’.
- Select the exam that you are applying for.
- Fill in personal details and category details.
- Enter the academic details and upload documents as per the information brochure.
- Fill examination city preferences and select payment details.
- Verify all details in the “Preview” Page.
- Click on “Submit” and complete the payment.
- Check the successful application status by logging in again.
- Take a printout of the application form 2024 for your reference.
