National Talent Search Examination(NTSE) is for students in 10th grade. NCERT conducts it to find talented students and help their education.
The exam is done in two parts: first at the state level, then nationally.
Eligibility NTSE:
Any 10th-grade student in a recognized school can take the Stage-I exam, regardless of their origin. If you pass Stage I, you can go on to Stage II.
Stage 1 Exam is State level exam and Stage II is a National Level Exam
NOTE: If you’re studying through distance learning and under 18, you can apply too.
Benefits NTSE:
– Students in 11th and 12th grade receive INR 1,250 per month.
– Undergraduate and postgraduate students receive INR 2,000 per month.
– PhD students receive an amount according to UGC norms.
Ways to Apply for NTSE Scholarship:
1. Check the newspapers or school notices for your state’s announcement.
2. Contact your state’s liaison officer to get the form.
3. Fill out the form.
4. Have your school principal sign it.
5. Send the completed form and any fee to the address given by the liaison officer.
