The University of Gloucestershire (UOG) offers the Sports Global Excellence Scholarship to students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate-taught programs. This scheme aims to support high-performing student-athletes who wish to combine their high-performance sports with their studies. The selected students will receive a tuition fee waiver of up to £7,500 (approximately ₹7,93,322.25).
Eligibility for the Scholarship
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be international fee-payers and self-fund at least 100% of their tuition fee.
- Enroll in the University of Gloucestershire on-campus, full-time undergraduate degree (minimum 3 years) or postgraduate taught degree (minimum 2 semesters) at the university.
- Demonstrate performance at the required level in their sport.
Note: Students are self-funded if they cover their own tuition fees or receive financial support from family or friends.
US applicants must meet the following academic criteria:
- A high school diploma (HSD) with a minimum GPA of 3.6 (on a 4.0 scale).
- Strong performance on standardized tests accepted by US universities, such as the SAT, SAT Subject Tests, AP exams/classes, ACT, or honors/college-level classes.
- For postgraduate programs, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.4 (on a 4.0 scale) or a minimum score of 80% on a recognized grading scale.
The following students are not eligible for the scholarship:
- Candidates receiving any other scholarship fromThe University of Gloucestershire.
- Candidates who have previously received an undergraduate merit scholarship from the university.

Note:
- You can only submit one scholarship application per academic year.
- If you have previously applied and were unsuccessful, your scholarship application will be rejected.
