The Scholarship to Son and Daughter of Differently Abled Persons is a welfare scheme introduced by the Government of Tamil Nadu with the Department for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons. Eligibility Criteria:

Who can apply?
The scholarship is meant for sons or daughters of parents who hold a valid Differently Abled Welfare Board ID card issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu.

What courses are covered?
Students currently studying from Class 11 to the Postgraduate level can apply. This includes ITI and Polytechnic diploma courses.

Are there any academic requirements?
There’s no strict mark requirement to apply for this scholarship. Students just need to have passed the previous class.

  • Parent’s Differently Abled Welfare Board ID and Medical Certificate
  • Student’s Aadhaar card (and parents’, if needed)
  • A bonafide certificate from the educational institution
  • The previous year’s mark sheet
  • Joint savings account bank passbook (Parent + Student)
  • “No Assistance” Certificate confirming no duplicate benefits
  • Family or Ration card as proof of identity

  5. Download the form listed as S.No. 4, Scholarship to the Son and Daughter of Differently Abled Persons.

Fill the form and submit it to your District Differently Abled Welfare Officer.

Disbursement Procedure:

Funds are transferred annually directly into the student’s joint bank account.
