LLM stands for (Latin: Legum Magister) Master of Laws. Law Courses and Colleges for PG Students. You can choose from many specializations in law with an LLM degree, such as International Law, Criminal Law, Corporate Law, and Taxation Law.
Master of Law or LLM is a 2-year postgraduate degree. LLM helps to gain in-depth knowledge in a particular field of law through intensive research in that field of law. Master of Laws offers various specializations such as International Law, Corporate Law, Business Law, and Criminal Law.
Eligibility criteria for PG Law Courses:
LLM Eligibility is that the students should have cleared 3 years of LLB degree or a BA LLB /BSc LLB /BBA LLB degree (Bachelor of Law) of 5 years with 50-60% aggregate scores.
The minimum age requirement for pursuing a Master of Laws is 17 years or more.
LLM Admission is based on performance in law entrance exams such as CLAT, LSAT, and other university-level exams such as IPU CET, DU LLM, etc.
In India, the average duration of an LLM course is 2 years. However, in the UK, USA and Canada is 2.5 years, 1 year, 2 years, respectively.
