Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts the Group-III Exam to select individuals for multiple positions, including Junior Inspector and Storekeeper, across various departments.
I. Steps/Stages in the Selection Process:
Written exam:
- 1. Paper-I (General Tamil/General English) (60/150) mark in Group-III.
- Note: This paper is compulsory and the candidate has to obtain 60 marks out of 150. Valuers will assess the answer sheets of candidates who pass this paper alone and will be validated for paper II.
- 2. Paper-II (general Studies and Mental Ability Test) (60/150) marks.

Please note that candidates who obtain a degree in distance education must have already passed SSLC (10th) and then Higher Secondary (+2). If you get a degree in distance education after passing SSLC (10th exam), you will face disqualification.
III. Scale of Pay:
The pay scale for the Group III position is as follows:
Rs.20600 to Rs.75900.
Application Fees:
One-time Registration Fee: Rs.150/- (it’s valid for 5 years).
Written Exam Fee: Rs.100/-.

IV. The following certificates need to be submitted.
- SSLC/HSC Certificate (Date of Birth Verification),
- Priority Selection for Tamil Medium (PSTM) Certificate (who have studied in Tamil Medium),
- Disability Certificate(For PH candidates),
- No Objection Certificate,
- Additional Supporting Documents for Reservation,
- Educational Certificates (as specified in the application).
- Community Certificate,
- Typewriting/Shorthand Certificate.
Note: To qualify under the PSTM quota, the candidate must have completed their education in Tamil Medium from SSLC, 12th, and degree.
V. ID and Photographs needed for Group III:
- Upload a photo with your signature on it – (165×123) pixels in dimension, and below 50 KB in jpg format.
- Upload a scanned copy of your signature – (80×125) pixels in dimension, and below 20 KB in jpg format.
- To upload thumb imprint (below 50 KB, Jpg) and submit ID (Aadhar, Driving License, PAN, passport, voter). Bring a hard copy of the uploaded ID + hall ticket on exam day.
VI. Verification of documents is required after being selected in Group III.
- Educational Qualification Certificates: Your SSLC (10th) certificate, your higher secondary (12th) certificate, and your graduation certificate for Age proof to be provided for Group-III exams.
- Provide your Educational Qualification Certificates, including your SSLC (10th) certificate, your higher secondary (12th) certificate, and your graduation certificate for age proof.
- Submit a Community Certificate to specify your community as (SC, ST, OBC, & others).
- If you claim to be a Tamil Nadu resident, you must submit a Nativity Certificate (if necessary).
- If you have a disability, include a Differently Abled Certificate to ensure eligibility for physically handicapped candidates.
- You are currently employed and have obtained a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your current employer.
- Present a valid photo ID proof such as an Aadhar card, voter ID, passport, or driver’s license.
- Attach recent colour passport-size photographs as instructed.
- Include a payment receipt as proof of application fee payment.
- Self-Declaration Form confirming your lack of criminal history and disciplinary actions.
- Include any other supporting documents mentioned in the official notice, such as experience certificates (if needed).
- Submit two copies of a conduct certificate.
