Welfare of Differently Abled Persons: The Department for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons of the Government of Tamil Nadu initiated the “Scholarship for Students with Disabilities (Grades 1-8)” program, aiming to offer financial aid to differently-abled students attending government-recognized schools, specifically for the procurement of notebooks.

Benfits of This Scholarship:

– Students in grades 1 to 5 receive ₹1,000 per annum for the purchase of books and notebooks.

– Students in grades 6 to 8 receive ₹3,000 per annum for the purchase of books and notebooks through the scholarship program.
For the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons

Eligibility for this Scholarship:

– The recipient should be a student with a disability.

– The student’s grade level should be between 1st and 8th.

– They must be attending a school that is recognized by the government.

– The student should not be receiving similar assistance from other sources.

The application process for this Scholarship:

Application Process for Offline Submission:

1. Visit the District Differently Abled Welfare Officer’s office during office hours.

2. Request a hard copy of the prescribed application form from the designated staff.

3. Fill in all mandatory fields on the application form.

4. Attach copies of all required documents, self-attesting where necessary.

5. Submit the completed and signed application form along with the documents to the District Differently Abled Welfare Officer.

6. Request a receipt or acknowledgment from the Officer for the submitted application.

7. Ensure the receipt contains essential details such as the submission date, time, and a unique identification number if provided.
