PG Scholarship: The University Grants Commission is administering a program that offers scholarships to students who have qualified in GATE/GPAT exams and wish to pursue M.Tech/M.E./M. Pharm courses, including integrated dual degree programs.
Benefits of PG Scholarship:
- Each student under the scheme receives a monthly scholarship of ₹12,400.
- The institution also grants eligible students an annual contingency fund of ₹5,000.
Eligibility for the PG Scholarship:
- UGC provides scholarships to GATE/GPAT qualified students enrolled in M.E/M.Tech/M.Pharm courses or integrated dual degree programs at Central, State, Deemed, and Private Universities.
- Full-time enrollment is mandatory for scholarship eligibility.
- Organizations must adhere to the Government of India’s policy for SC/ST/OBC/PH categories.
- If no eligible student is available under reserved seats, the institution may consider those seats as lapsed for that batch.
Exclusion for Scholarship:
- PG Scholarship passing the GATE examination from the third semester onwards are ineligible for scholarships.
- Foreign students are not eligible for GATE/GPAT scholarships.
Application Process For Scholarship:
- To begin the process, visit the link https://scholarship.canarabank.in/scholar/Login.aspx.
- Click on the PG Scholarship Registration Button and provide accurate details including the scheme name, student ID (registered with the University under the UGC Portal), date of birth, and email (registered with the University in the UGC Portal).
- Once the data is entered, click the Register Button to save the information. A confirmation message will appear indicating “Registration Successful.”
- The password will be sent to the registered email address. Check the designated Email ID for the password.
- Proceed to the page https://scholarship.canarabank.in/scholar/Login.aspx, and enter the registered Email ID and the password received in the email. Login and proceed to change the password.
- After setting the new password, log in again using the email ID and the newly created password to access the scholar’s profile.
