National Institutes of Technology (NITs) Admission process

The National Institutes of Technology (NITs), established under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, maintain the status of institutions of national importance. They are governed by the National Institutes of Technology, Science Education, and Research Act, 2007. The Act outlines its powers, duties, and governance framework, listing 32 NITs. Each NIT operates autonomously, and a common council named the Council of NITSER connects them, managing their administration. The Government of India provides funding for all NITs.

What score is required as a minimum for NIT admissions?

NITs fall under the category of top engineering institutes in the nation. Therefore, many aspirants desire and aim to study in NITs, raising the competition level naturally. The entrance exam expects aspirants to excel.

To participate in NIT admission for BTech, candidates will have to complete the JoSAA registration and choice-filling process.
